Apache Junction,AZ to Silver City, NM...25th March 2015

After saying farewell to our neighbours and nice folks from Alberta we hit the road again the 60E up through the Pinal Mountains and across The Top of The World Highway....
Hoodoo type rock formations in the Pinal Mountains...
Snow capped mountains....this is a very flat and agricultural area and hard to believe that we are at 3,500ft elevation...
Lunch sandwich stop at the border between Arizona and New Mexico....we move ahead an hour now as Arizona don't recognise daylight savings like the rest of the USA !
So much colour in the desert at this time of year....
After Lordsburg, NM we once again pass over the Continental Divide (see previous blog or Google it !!)  at 6,355 ft before  another long straight road to Silver City...
Old Town Silver City, elevation 5,938ft.... the big mining industry here is actually copper not silver....
