5th-7th May 2015.....Carrabelle, FL...

No rush to get away this morning on route to Carrabelle....east on SR20, this is the sort of road we like....
Time for a few more pages of The Pop Master Quiz Book....
South on SR65 through the Apalachicola National Forest & left turn at the sea ....
We stayed in Carrabelle at the same RV park on our route east-west in 2012....
Another time change...we loose an hour today, now Eastern Standard Time....but hey it's an hour nearer  5 o'clock !!
The Carrabelle Beach RV Resort our home for the next week is just across the road from the sea....
Yorkieman does an excellent job of backing into our spot (with my guidance of course!!)...no pull thru sites available....
Very hot today as we amble into town and a visit to the Visitors Centre....
The smallest police station in the world....
Next stop...Carrabelle Bottle House....
Started in 2012 as a hobby by Leon a retired art teacher it has become quite a feature of Carrabelle...
Locals "donate" their empty bottles....
Leon with Yorkieman and his second creation the Bottle Lighthouse...
How lovely is that, both the house and lighthouse are lit up at night....we spent some time talking with Leon and his wife Frances.....they are both very well travelled having been not only to many other states but also to England and much of Europe...
These guys didn't seem to be bothered by us....there again we think they are tolerant of humans as there is a fish cleaning station close by !!
The rest of the afternoon lovingly spent cleaning our truck !!!
Sunrise, yes sunrise on our beach....talking to Frances yesterday she mentioned that the dolphins feed close to shore early morning.....we did see 3 fins as we arrived on the beach but sadly no other sighting.....
A flight of pelicans as the sun comes up....
All was not lost we had bought our chairs and coffee cups and cookies to sit and watch the sun rise then a very good walk along the beach......it was a beautiful morning...
Carrabelle remains an unspoilt part of the coast, it's known as the Forgotten Coast but the locals like it that way....
It works very well for us :)
