| Monday 13th April and after the beautiful weekend weather watching the Masters today it hoses down all day !! Not complaining as we did know from the forecast that it would be a day for indoor household chores !! Fascinating day, the rain was incredibly heavy and still very warm hence the mist rising from the river and swirling/ebbing and flowing all day.... |

| Now Tuesday and the sun is shinning and we are back on the trails at Lake Catherine State Park having fun on the swing bridge always an experience... |

| The Garvan Garden started by Verna Cook Garvan over 40 years ago on her death she bequeathed to the University of Arkansas who do an excellent job of maintaining the gardens to a very high standard. The land was purchased in the 1920's for lumber and was originally 400 acres, reduced to 210 acres from flooding when the dam was built creating Lake Hamilton.... |

| Our visit is too late in the season to see the huge tulip display but the azaleas are starting to burst into flower.... |

| Well this is our last post from Hot Springs, Arkansas, we have really enjoyed our stay here, it's a really nice area to visit as quite diverse and Catherine's Landing RV Park is excellent.... Dinner yesterday was fried catfish & shrimp take out from Bubba's it was so very delicious we had the same again this evening :) In our defence it is the first fried food we have eaten this trip ! Tomorrow we move on to Memphis, Tennessee, we shall be singing Paul Simons' Graceland...."we're going to Graceland, Graceland Tennessee" as we are booked into the Graceland RV Park....we are saving Walking in Memphis for when we are actually walking in Memphis... All being well more posts soon from The Very Happy Campers...... |

Great to see all you pics and read about your adventures.Must agree with you thought that the Fordyce bathhouse massage equipment looks a little too much like a torture chamber to enjoy. Garvan gardens look good,a reminder that you may have to get the mower out when you return.Well it`s almost weekend so I`m heading for the fridge and a well deserved Guiness

We hear the weather is fabulous back home, a nice drop of rain to follow and our grass will be as high as an elephants eye !!

We arrived in Memphis yesterday and certainly "All Shook Up" as the road surfaces for the last 50 miles of the 1-40 were rough and full of potholes...
